This article is not intended to perform a deep analysis on cultural tourism, the main objective is to present some different aspects that allow us to reflect on this tourist category. Firstyoustudy the cultural heritage from the tourist point of view, then the relationship between cultural tourism and globalization, focusing on cultural tourism as a factor for local development be addressed. Finally, some recommendations of international organizations in the field of tourism will be presented
En este artículo no se pretende realizar un análisis profundo sobre el turismo cultural, el objetivo principal es, presentar algunos aspectos diferentes que nos permitan reflexionar sobre esta categoría turística. En primer lugar, se estudiará al patrimonio cultural desde el punto de vista turístico, y luego se abordará la relación entre el turismo cultural y la Globalización, centrándonos en el turismo cultural como factor de desarrollo local. Por último, se presentarán algunas recomendaciones de organizaciones internacionales en el campo del turismo.
