dc.descriptionInterceptive orthodontics contributes to the development of a permanent dentition that is harmonious, functional and aesthetic. In which the integral dentist must identify malocclusion early and interfere in its development through appliances, to avoid the unfavorable evolution of malformations, and even more so, in the case of anterior dentoalveolar crossbite since in the long term they can occur complications, both craniofacial and dental, affecting the physiology and functionality of the patient. The purpose of this investigation was to analyze the effectiveness of interceptive orthodontics as a treatment for dentoalveolar anterior crossbite treated with Bimler Type C in a patient with mixed dentition. This study is attached to the comprehensive dental care research unit which develops the line: clinical and corrective dentistry. The case refers to the application of interceptive orthodontics using the Bimler type C, as a treatment for Dentoalveolar Anterior Crossbite. The early approach of the case led to a successful treatment avoiding dental surgical interventions, the treatment not only improved the aesthetic and functional part of the patient, but also the psychological part of it.en
dc.descriptionLa ortodoncia interceptiva, contribuye al desarrollo de una dentición permanente que sea armoniosa, funcional y estética. En la cual el odontólogo integral debe identificar tempranamente la maloclusión e interferir en su desarrollo a través de aparatologías, para evitar la evolución desfavorable de malformaciones, y aún más, en el caso de la mordida cruzada anterior dentoalveolar ya que a largo plazo se pueden presentar complicaciones, tanto craneofacial como dentales afectando la fisiología y funcionalidad del paciente. El propósito de esta investigación fue analizar la efectividad de la ortodoncia interceptiva como tratamiento de la mordida cruzada anterior dentoalveolar tratado con Bimler Tipo C en un paciente con dentición mixta. Este estudio se encuentra adscrito a la unidad de investigación de atención odontológica integral la cual desarrolla la línea: odontología clínica y correctiva. El caso se refiere a la aplicación de la ortodoncia interceptiva utilizando el Bimler tipo C, como tratamiento para la Mordida Cruzada Anterior Dentoalveolar. El abordaje temprano del caso condujo a un tratamiento exitoso evitando intervenciones quirúrgicas odontológicas, el tratamiento no solo mejoró la parte estética y funcional de la paciente, sino también la parte psicológica de la misma.es
