dc.descriptionThe proposal for the construction of Research Collectives arose from the curricular transformation project of the Simon Rodríguez National Experimental University (UNESR), in order to link research with the development of communities. In the present work, these conclusions of the UNESR researchers were interpreted, according to the investigative reality at the José Antonio Páez University (UJAP) and through a critical-documentary investigation. As the UJAP has developed since its creation, its research has also gradually developed. However, when reviewing the research products recently generated in the institution, it was observed that many of the proposals that have arisen as a consequence of the interaction between the faculties and the immediate environment have been wasted. This originated the review of the aims and purposes of the General Directorate of Research and the consequent updating of the research lines of the UJAP, linking them with the policies promoted by national and local world organizations. Considering that the Research Groups are characterized by the articulation of knowledge and by promoting synergistically in the curriculum, teaching, research and extension as a social project, the UJAP accepted this proposal. By categorizing the existing research products, establishing as criteria the strategic lines of the Higher Education Sector Plan and the UJAP, three groups were defined which are being consolidated: distance education, management and community interaction. dc.descriptionLa propuesta de construcción de Colectivos de Investigación surgió del proyecto de transformación curricular de la Universidad Nacional Experimental Simón Rodríguez (UNESR), a fin de vincular la investigación con el desarrollo de las comunidades. En el presente trabajo se interpretaron esas conclusiones de los investigadores de la UNESR, según la realidad investigativa en la Universidad José Antonio Páez (UJAP) y mediante una investigación crítico-documental. En la medida que la UJAP se ha ido desarrollando desde su creación, su investigación también lo ha hecho gradualmente. Sin embargo, al revisar los productos de investigación generados recientemente en la institución, se observó que se han desaprovechado muchas de las propuestas que han surgido como consecuencia de la interacción entre las facultades y el entorno inmediato. Esto originó la revisión de los fines y propósitos de la Dirección General de Investigación y la consecuente actualización de las líneas de investigación de la UJAP, vinculándolas con las políticas que impulsan los organismos mundiales nacionales y locales. Considerando que los Colectivos de Investigación están caracterizados por la articulación de saberes y por fomentar sinérgicamente en el currículo, la docencia, la investigación y la extensión como proyecto social, la UJAP se acogió a esta propuesta. Al categorizar los productos de investigación existentes, estableciendo como criterio las líneas estratégicas del Plan Sectorial de Educación Superior y de la UJAP, se definieron tres colectivos los cuales se está consolidando: educación a distancia, gestión e interacción comunitaria. Ellos definen las tendencias de investigación según las exigencias sociales.es
