dc.descriptionThe mucocele is a clinical term associated with injuries you reactivate (not infectious), Is a lesion mainly affecting the minor salivary glands is formed due to extravasation of mucous saliva product of bite trauma. Given the causal factor the mucocele can be classified as mucous extravasation cyst or mucous retention cyst. Primarily affect the lower lip and appear as a nodule, translucent, circumscribed containing mucous or shows an elevation, the color of the overlying mucosa. The treatment consists of surgical resection of the lesion, including minor salivary glands affected. In this research a case of a male patient, 24-year-old woman came with an injury papular type at the lower lip is reported. The approach that wants to give to this product of investigation is to reach, in association to the experience of the case, certain recommendations that must be taken in the treatment of this type of injuries. In this way it is possible avoid the recurrence and improve the service towards the affected patient.en-US
dc.descriptionEl mucocele es un término clínico, asociado a lesiones reactivas (no infecciosas), es una lesión que afecta especialmente las glándulas salivales menores; se forma debido a la extravasación de saliva mucosa producto de un trauma por mordedura. Teniendo en cuenta el factor causal, el mucocele se puede clasificar como quiste de extravasación mucosa o quiste de retención mucosa. Afecta primordialmente el labio inferior y se manifiesta como un nódulo, translúcido y circunscrito con un contenido mucoso o muestra una elevación del color de la mucosa que la cubre. El tratamiento consiste en la resección quirúrgica de la lesión, que incluya las glándulas salivales menores afectadas. En este trabajo de investigación se reporta un caso de un paciente de género masculino, de 24 años de edad que acude con una lesión de tipo papular a nivel del labio inferior. El enfoque que se le quiere dar a este producto de investigación es aportar, en asociación a la experiencia del caso, ciertas recomendaciones que deben ser tomadas en el tratamiento de este tipo de lesiones. De esta forma, evitar la recidiva y mejorar el servicio hacia el paciente afectado.es-ES
